Sony BDP-S780 Review

There are many  BDP-S780 review after buying this home theathre. All of buyers fell satisfied about the fasility of this 3D Blu-ray Disc Player. Here is one of the honest Sony BDP S780 Review by Terry R. William :

I ordered and received the new Sony Blu-ray disc player as a replacement for a broken old unit in my motor home. I hooked it up to my home TV to test it out and found how good a unit this really is. Has very fast startup time and full access to the internet. I also tried out Skype on it with a friend and found it was great. You will have to watch which camera, that you use for the video to work. Calling customer service at Sony could only say you needed the Sony camera but I found a HD Microsoft camera also works. I have ordered now a Sony 32inch 3d TV to go with it. After going to a store and seeing how the 2d to 3d works I am convinced it was time to get one. I know the glasses type are now and the ones without glasses are coming but what will they cost and how long to work out the bugs? If you decide to get this unit you will be very happy with it.

I purchased a new Sony 3D TV, the BDP-S780 3D Blu Ray player, and Sony 3D Glasses. Together, they work amazing! You have the ability to make any DVD a 3D DVD, although the ones designed for 3D show better. Picture is perfect and video is flawless. The DVD boots up relatively fast and was very easy to set up.

The only downside to the set up, and I believe it is a fault of the 3D glasses (even though they work great, but were expensive) is that you need to keep your head straight up to see everything clearly in 3D. If you wanted to lay on your side and watch TV, the 3D would be distorted. However, as stated, this is probablya short-comming in the glasses, not the DVD player.

I would highly recommend this DVD player, especially if you have other Sony components.
